The Wedding

Who: Nicholas & Hieu
When: Evening of February 11, 2011
Where: The Driskill Hotel - Austin, Texas
What: We finally Tied the Knot!!!

A few photos from the day (& the day after)
We wanted to have a small and intimate event that was more 'us' than anything else - even if it would be just the two of us. As fate would have it, we were able to book my dream wedding venue and began preparations right away. With only 8 weeks to get everything situated, we worked on fine tuning our unique details. We invited just a few of our closest and dearest friends and beloved family to celebrate the day with us. We do plan on celebrating with everyone when we get to see them next.

We picked the 11th of February as my birthday falls on an 11th, 11 being my favorite number, and it was during the beginning of the Lunar New Year's celebrations. 02 11 2011 also looked pretty neat.

The ceremony was held on the Driskill's lower balcony behind the Texas and US flags.  I walked in with my sister Phu's guitar solo of  Pachabel's Canon and the ceremony was officiated by a dear friend and mentor, Mr. Robert Matney.

My sister Phu was my Matron of Honor, Mrs. SuziFoo was my Bridesmaid. Wilson and Colin were their escorts :) Thomas was Nicholas' Best Man and Vinny was his Groomsman. Mindy Sea did our hair and makeup. Both Jamie and Mindy served as our event coordinators for the day and help to keep everything in order.

I would like to give a special thank you to these Etsy Vendors for their beautiful unique creations that helped to make our Day that much more fun:

Betsy Farmer of Betsy Farmer Designs for the beautifully designed bridesmaid gifts
Ann Swank of Swank Underpinnings for my beautiful custom made purple petticoat

The Driskill Hotel for the wonderful and historic venue.
