Mountain Time

One of my most favorite places in Utah is Split Mountain. It's about 20 miles east of town on HWY 40. Just past the Dinosaur National Monument on the tiny road, there's a turn off to a small boat ramp. There's some pretty good camping to be had and there are quite a few picinic spots along with rafting - if you're into the fun danger stuff of water and rocks. I prefer floating on water and walking on rocks. Not being dunked in the water and dragged along the rocks. :-) Ali and I came out here for dinner, to check out the sunset, watch the storm roll in and marvel at how these mountains can make us feel soo incredibly small.
