in le nooze

So. The past three days have been interesting. I spent the first two in SugarLand interviewing with SLB. That in and of itself was quite an experience. I wish all employees could afford to interview that way - onsite trips, talk to the people IN the field and not just an HR recruiter, and more importantly, meet your competitors (you guys are awesome btw).

Flying back yesterday was hellatious. It was Tuesday. Three of us got to Hobby at 2:30 in the afternoon for our 5pm flights. Time for chitchat, some food, and security checks, blah blah. A cold front blows through... and long ugly delayed/canceled/rerouted flight story later... we got home at 1am. Thankfully, Nick pre-warned me about the sub-freezing weather and I bundled up before we landed.

Reading my email today, I was greeted with some good news and the news you all have been waiting for: I got a pre-offer-offer for SLB, pending my written offer to arrive in the mail in 2 weeks.. probably after my final location is determined. So yah-me and the jobby job. Wooo!
